Cheesy Stuffed Chicken Bread Rolls


🧀🍗 Ingredients

For the Filling

  • 2 cups cooked chicken (shredded)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese (optional, extra flavor)
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese or mayonnaise
  • 1 small onion (very finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Chili flakes (optional)

For the Dough

Option 1 (easy):

  • 6–8 soft dinner rolls / bread buns

Option 2 (from scratch):

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 tbsp oil or butter

For Topping

  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley or oregano
  • Extra mozzarella cheese
  • Bacon bits (optional, like in the image)

🔪 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Filling

In a bowl, mix:

  • Shredded chicken
  • Mozzarella + cheddar
  • Cream cheese / mayo
  • Onion, garlic, spices

Mix well until creamy and cheesy.


2️⃣ Prepare the Dough

  • If using ready rolls:
    Flatten each roll gently with your hand.
  • If making homemade dough:
    • Mix all dough ingredients
    • Knead 8–10 minutes
    • Let rise 1 hour
    • Divide into balls and flatten

3️⃣ Stuff & Shape

  • Place a generous spoon of filling in the center
  • Add extra mozzarella inside (important for cheese pull 😍)
  • Close and seal tightly into a ball

4️⃣ Arrange & Top

  • Place rolls seam-side down in a greased baking tray
  • Brush with melted butter mixed with garlic powder
  • Sprinkle herbs, bacon bits, and extra cheese on top

5️⃣ Bake

  • Oven: 180°C (350°F)
  • Time: 18–25 minutes
  • Bake until golden, bubbly, and melty

Optional:
