Garlic Butter Shrimp Noodles


🧄🍝 Ingredients

Main

  • 250 g noodles or spaghetti
  • 400 g shrimp (peeled & deveined)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic (minced)

Sauce

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp black pepper (or more 👀)
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 3–4 tbsp pasta water
  • 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)

Garnish

  • Dried parsley or herbs
  • Extra black pepper

🔪 Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Noodles

  • Boil noodles in salted water until al dente
  • Reserve ½ cup pasta water
  • Drain and set aside

2️⃣ Cook the Shrimp

  • Heat olive oil + 1 tbsp butter in a pan (medium-high)
  • Add shrimp
  • Season lightly with salt & pepper
  • Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink
  • Remove shrimp and set aside

3️⃣ Make the Sauce

  • In same pan, add remaining butter
  • Add garlic, cook 20–30 seconds (don’t burn)
  • Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, chili flakes
  • Stir well

4️⃣ Combine Everything

  • Add noodles to the pan
  • Splash in pasta water
  • Toss until noodles are glossy and coated
  • Add shrimp back in
  • Finish with black pepper + sesame oil

5️⃣ Serve

  • Sprinkle parsley
  • Add more pepper if you like it bold 🔥
  • Serve hot (best cheese-pull-style noodle stretch 😮‍💨)

✔ Use raw shrimp, not pre-cooked
✔ Pasta water = shiny sauce
✔ Butter + soy = magic combo
✔ Don’t overcook shrimp (rubbery = heartbreak)
