Ingredients
- The Crunch: 1 bag (approx. 9 oz) Nacho Cheese Doritos, slightly crushed.
- The Protein: 1 lb ground beef or turkey.
- The Filling:
- 1 packet taco seasoning.
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken or nacho cheese soup.
- 1/2 cup sour cream.
- 1/2 cup salsa or diced tomatoes with green chilies.
- The Cheese: 2 cups shredded Mexican blend or Cheddar cheese.
- Garnish: Shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and fresh chives.
Instructions
- Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Brown: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef until browned; drain the excess fat. Stir in the taco seasoning and a splash of water, simmering for 2–3 minutes.
- Mix: In a bowl, whisk together the soup, sour cream, and salsa until smooth. Combine this with the seasoned beef.
- Layer: Spread half of the crushed Doritos in the bottom of the baking dish. Top with the beef mixture, followed by half of the shredded cheese.
- Repeat: Add the remaining crushed Doritos and top with the rest of the cheese.
- Bake: Bake for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
- Serve: Let it sit for 5 minutes. Top with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and chives before serving.
