Ingredients

  • The Chicken:
    • 1 lb boneless chicken thighs or chicken breast, cut into strips.
    • 3 tablespoons olive oil.
  • The Flavor Base:
    • 4 cloves garlic, minced.
    • Fresh herbs (such as parsley or thyme) for garnish.
  • The Cheesy Topping:
    • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or parmesan cheese.
    • Salt and black pepper to taste.

Instructions

  1. Sauté Chicken: Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken strips, seasoning with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown on all sides.
  2. Add Garlic: Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.
  3. Layer Cheese: Arrange the chicken evenly in the skillet or transfer to a baking dish. Top generously with the shredded cheese.
  4. Bake/Broil: Place under a broiler for 3–5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and develops golden-brown toasted spots.
  5. Garnish: Remove from the heat and sprinkle with freshly chopped herbs before serving.
