  • The Filling:
    • 1 lb ground beef, browned and drained.
    • 1/2 small onion, finely diced.
    • 1 tsp garlic powder and salt/pepper to taste.

  • The Finish:
    • 1 egg (beaten) for egg wash.
    • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish.

Instructions

  1. Sauté: Brown the ground beef with the diced onions in a skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease and stir in the seasonings.
  2. Prepare Dough: Unroll your dough and cut it into squares or rectangles.
  3. Stuff: Place a generous spoonful of the beef mixture and a sprinkle of cheese in the center of each dough piece.
  4. Seal: Fold the dough over the filling to create a pocket and press the edges firmly with a fork to seal them.
  5. Bake: Place the pockets on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush the tops with the egg wash. Bake at 375°F for 12–15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  6. Garnish: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm.
