Ingredients
- The Dough: 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough or pizza crust.
- The Filling:
- 1 lb ground beef, browned and drained.
- 1/2 small onion, finely diced.
- 1 tsp garlic powder and salt/pepper to taste.
- The Cheese: 1.5 cups shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese.
- The Finish:
- 1 egg (beaten) for egg wash.
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish.
Instructions
- Sauté: Brown the ground beef with the diced onions in a skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease and stir in the seasonings.
- Prepare Dough: Unroll your dough and cut it into squares or rectangles.
- Stuff: Place a generous spoonful of the beef mixture and a sprinkle of cheese in the center of each dough piece.
- Seal: Fold the dough over the filling to create a pocket and press the edges firmly with a fork to seal them.
- Bake: Place the pockets on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush the tops with the egg wash. Bake at 375°F for 12–15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
- Garnish: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm.
