Ingredients

  • The Meat: 1 pack of high-quality breakfast sausages or cocktail franks.
  • The Wrap: 1 tube of refrigerated crescent roll dough or puff pastry.
  • The Glaze:
    • 2 tbsp melted butter.
    • 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey (for that glossy, sweet finish).
  • Garnish: Freshly chopped chives or parsley.

Instructions

  1. Prep: Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wrap: Unroll your dough and cut it into thin strips. Carefully wrap each sausage in a strip of dough, ensuring the ends of the sausage are slightly peeking out for that classic look.
  3. Brush: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and maple syrup. Brush the mixture generously over the dough-wrapped sausages to ensure a deep golden color and a crispy texture.
  4. Bake: Place the pieces on the baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
  5. Finish: Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with fresh chopped chives while the glaze is still slightly tacky.
