8 oz lo mein noodles (or spaghetti/yakisoba noodles), cooked and drained
1 lb ground beef
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp sesame oil
1/2 cup beef broth (or water)
1 tsp cornstarch (mixed with 1 tbsp water to make a slurry)
Sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
Cook the beef: In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease, then add the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Make the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and beef broth. Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet with the beef and bring to a simmer.
Thicken the sauce: Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until the sauce thickens into a glossy glaze.
Combine: Add the cooked lo mein noodles directly into the skillet, tossing everything together well until the noodles are fully coated and heated through.
Serve: Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, and serve warm.
