Ingredients
The Brownie Base:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour.
- 1 cup granulated sugar.

- 1 lemon (zested).
- 1 tsp lemon extract and 1 tsp vanilla extract.
- 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp baking powder.
The Lemon Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar.
- 2 tbsp water.
- 1 tsp lemon juice and 1 tsp lemon extract.
- 1 to 2 tsp lemon zest.
Instructions
- Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, granulated sugar, eggs, egg yolk, lemon juice, extracts, and lemon zest until smooth.
- Add Dry Ingredients: Gradually stir in the all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20–25 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Glaze: While the brownies are cooling slightly, whisk the powdered sugar, water, lemon extract, lemon juice, and zest together until smooth.
- Finish: Pour the glaze over the warm brownies and spread evenly. Let the brownies cool completely so the glaze can set before slicing into squares.
