    • 8 oz cream cheese, softened.
    • ½ cup granulated sugar.
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract.
  • The Fruit & Cake Base:
    • 21 oz strawberry pie filling (or fresh strawberries in syrup).
    • 1 box yellow or white cake mix.
    • ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted or thinly sliced.
  • The Garnish:
    • Whipped cream.
    • Fresh strawberries and mint.

Instructions

  1. Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Layer Fruit: Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the prepared dish.
  3. Mix Cheesecake: In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Dollop: Drop spoonfuls of the cheesecake mixture over the strawberry layer.
  5. Add Cake Mix: Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top of the fruit and cheesecake layers.
  6. Butter Topping: Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix, ensuring as much of the dry mix is covered as possible to create a golden crust.

  8. Serve: Let the cake cool slightly. Serve warm topped with a generous swirl of whipped cream and a fresh strawberry.
