Cheesy Sausage & Potato Skillet


🌭🥔 Ingredients

  • 500 g smoked sausage (beef, chicken, or turkey), sliced
  • 5–6 medium potatoes, peeled & cubed
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp dried thyme or oregano
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar
  • Fresh parsley or thyme (garnish)

🔪 Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Potatoes

  • Boil potatoes in salted water 8–10 minutes until just tender
  • Drain well

2️⃣ Brown the Sausage

  • Heat oil/butter in a large skillet over medium-high
  • Add sausage slices
  • Cook until golden and slightly crispy
  • Remove and set aside

3️⃣ Sauté Onion & Garlic

  • In same pan, add onion
  • Cook until soft
  • Add garlic, cook 30 seconds

4️⃣ Combine Everything

  • Add potatoes to the pan
  • Season with paprika, pepper, herbs, and salt
  • Return sausage to the pan
  • Toss gently

5️⃣ Add Cheese & Finish

  • Sprinkle cheese evenly over the top
  • Cover pan and cook 3–5 minutes on low
  • Until cheese melts and everything is hot

Optional:
Finish under the broiler for bubbly, golden cheese 🔥
