- The Cheesesteak Base:
- 1/2 lb thinly sliced ribeye or steak strips.
- 1/2 green bell pepper, thinly sliced.
- 1/2 medium onion, thinly sliced.
- 1 cup shredded Provolone or Mozzarella cheese.
- The Mac & Cheese Topping:
- 2 cups cooked elbow macaroni.
- 1.5 cups sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded.
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or whole milk.
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter.
- The Seasoning:
- 1 tsp garlic powder.
- Salt and black pepper to taste.
- Garnish: Freshly chopped parsley or chives.
Instructions
- Preheat: Set your oven to 425°F. Grease a large pizza stone or baking sheet.
- Sizzle the Steak: In a hot skillet, sauté the onions and peppers until soft. Add the steak strips and cook just until browned. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Prepare the Mac: In a small saucepan, melt the butter and stir in the cream and 1 cup of the Cheddar cheese until smooth. Fold in the cooked macaroni until well-coated.
- Assemble: Roll out the pizza dough on your prepared pan. Spread a thin layer of Provolone cheese over the dough, followed by the steak and vegetable mixture.
- Top with Mac: Spoon the creamy mac and cheese evenly over the steak layer. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of Cheddar on top for a golden finish.
- Bake: Place in the oven for 20–25 minutes until the crust is deep golden brown and the mac and cheese is bubbling and slightly crispy on the edges.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh herbs and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
