- The Bread: 8 slices of white sandwich bread, with crusts removed.
- The Cheesy Center:
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese.
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese.
- The Garlic Butter Coating:
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted.
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced.
- 1 tsp dried parsley or Italian seasoning.
- Garnish: Freshly chopped parsley.
Instructions
- Prep the Bread: Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice of crustless white bread until it is thin and pliable.
- Fill: Mix the mozzarella and cheddar cheeses in a small bowl. Place a generous line of the cheese mixture along one edge of each bread slice.
- Roll: Roll the bread tightly around the cheese, pressing the seam down to secure it.
- Garlic Butter Bath: In a small dish, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, and dried seasoning. Brush each rollup generously with the garlic butter on all sides.
- Cook: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place the rollups seam-side down in the pan.
- Toast: Cook for 1–2 minutes per side, turning frequently, until the bread is golden-brown and crispy, and the cheese inside is completely melted.
- Finish: Garnish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley while warm.
