Cheesesteak Beef Stromboli

Prep time: 15 mins | Cook time: 20–25 mins | Servings: 4–6

Ingredients

  • The Dough: 1 tube (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough.
  • The Filling: * 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef or deli steak.
    • 1 cup thinly sliced onions and bell peppers.
    • 8 slices Provolone or American cheese.
  • The Glaze: * 2 tbsp melted butter.
    • 1/2 tsp garlic powder.
  • Garnish: Freshly chopped parsley or chives.

Instructions

  1. Prep: Preheat your oven to 400°F. Sauté the onions and peppers in a skillet until soft, then set aside.
  2. Roll Out: Unroll the pizza dough onto a piece of parchment paper, stretching it into a large rectangle.
  3. Layer: Arrange a layer of cheese down the center of the dough, followed by the beef and the sautéed vegetables.
  4. Fold: Fold the sides of the dough over the filling, pinching the seams tightly to seal it.
  5. Brush: Whisk the garlic powder into the melted butter and brush it generously over the top for a golden, savory crust.
  6. Bake: Bake for 20–25 minutes until the crust is deep golden brown and the cheese is bubbling inside.
  7. Serve: Let it rest for 5 minutes, sprinkle with fresh herbs, and slice into thick pieces.
