Prep time: 15 mins | Freeze time: 3 hours | Servings: 12 bars
Ingredients
- The Base: 1 cup creamy peanut butter.
- The Sweetener: 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted.
- The Fluff: 1 tub (8 oz) Cool Whip, thawed.
Instructions
- Prepare Pan: Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper, allowing for a slight overhang to make it easy to lift the bars out once they are frozen.
- Combine: In a mixing bowl, stir the peanut butter and the melted chocolate together until the mixture is glossy and smooth.
- Cool: Let the mixture sit briefly to thicken slightly while remaining spreadable.
- Fold: Gently fold in the thawed Cool Whip. Mix just until the ingredients are incorporated and the texture is light and fluffy, resembling a mousse.
- Spread: Pour the mixture into your prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula for an even layer.
- Freeze: Place in the freezer for at least 3 hours, or until the bars are completely firm.
- Serve: Lift the parchment paper to remove the block from the pan, cut into 12 bars, and serve chilled. Store any leftovers in the freezer.
