Sticky Garlic Soy Glazed Beef Strips

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs flank steak or sirloin, sliced into thin strips
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, fresh ginger, sesame oil, and cornstarch until smooth.
  2. Sear the beef: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the beef strips in a single layer and sear for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until nicely browned and cooked through.
  3. Glaze: Pour the sticky garlic soy sauce mixture directly over the beef in the skillet.
  4. Thicken and coat: Cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce bubbles, thickens, and coats the beef strips in a glossy glaze.
  5. Serve: Remove from heat and serve warm.
