Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Sear the chicken: Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, then sear them for 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer the chicken to the prepared baking dish.
  3. Make the sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add parmesan: Stir in half of the grated parmesan cheese until melted and smooth into a creamy sauce. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  5. Pour and bake: Pour the creamy garlic parmesan sauce evenly over and around the chicken breasts in the baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese over the top of the chicken.
  6. Bake: Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese on top is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve: Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve warm.
