Sticky Honey-Garlic Sausage Bites

  • 500 g smoked sausage (beef, chicken, or turkey), sliced into thick coins
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: chili flakes or a dash of hot sauce
  • Chopped parsley (garnish)

🔪 Instructions

1️⃣ Sear the Sausage

  • Heat a pan over medium heat.
  • Add sausage slices (no oil needed if fatty).
  • Cook until both sides are deeply browned and slightly crisp.
  • Remove and set aside.

2️⃣ Make the Glaze

  • In the same pan, melt butter.
  • Add garlic; sauté 20–30 seconds (don’t burn).
  • Stir in honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, pepper, and chili flakes.

3️⃣ Glaze & Caramelize

  • Return sausage to the pan.
  • Toss to coat.
  • Simmer 3–5 minutes, stirring, until sauce thickens and turns glossy.

4️⃣ Finish

  • Taste and adjust (more honey = sweeter, more soy = saltier).
  • Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
